Motorcyclist dies after losing control of bike at Pearl

Mark Marks, a 41-year-old motorcyclist of Charlotte Street, Georgetown, died on Friday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle at the Pearl Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

Police Headquarters reported that the motorcycle, #CM 6193, was driving south along the eastern side of the public road when Marks lost control and fell onto the road surface. He skid some distance away and received injuries to his head and other parts of the body.

Marks was taken to the Diamond Diagnostics Centre by citizens who found him on the road in an unconscious state. He was examined by a doctor on duty and pronounced dead.
