Detectives are probing the discovery of a torched car with the charred remains of a human being inside the driver’s side.
The discovery was made at around 17:00 hrs at the back of Swan Village on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway on Sunday.
Authorities confirmed to the News Room that a passerby saw the car – a deep grey Audi (PTT 4651) – on fire and contacted the Police.
By the time the Police and the fire service arrived, the entire car was already engulfed in flames.
When they extinguished the blaze, the burnt remains of the individual was found inside the driver’s seat.
The police are still trying to piece together the case as the circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear at this time.
