Black Bush Polder woman dies in motorcycle accident
Dead: Zaleena 'Tina' Khan
An accident along the Mibicuri public road on Saturday night claimed the life of 25-year-old Zaleena ‘Tina’ Khan, of Mibicuri South, Black Bush Polder, Corentyne, Berbice.
The News Room understands that Khan was on her way home from a BBQ in the village on her motorcycle when she was struck from behind by another motorcyclist.
That motorcyclist was only identified as ‘Arnold.’
The woman’s father, Nazim Khan said the impact resulted in his daughter being flung into the air and her body ended up underneath a parked trailer on the public road.
Her husband, Ravin, who was behind her on his motorcycle, rushed her to the Mibicuri Hospital, but she died on the way there.
It is alleged that the motorcyclist fled the scene.
