Bodybuilder Darious Ramsammy flexed his way to his most significant title by winning the up to 80kg category at the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) Mr. Universe event in Colombia over the weekend.
Tough copping the top prize in his category, he missed out on the elusive IFBB pro card as he finished fourth in the overall pose off, just outside of the top three.
In an invited comment, the current Mr. Guyana noted this is his most prestigious medal, and it was highly satisfying to know he is more than capable of competing with some of the best in the world.
According to Ramsammy, he has to return to the gym and aim to build a bigger mass to reap further success on the big stages.
