Rupununi Football Academy soars to 2-0 triumph in national playoffs 

Rupununi Football  Academy secured a notable 2-0 victory against Essequibo Football Academy in a decisive clash in the Namilco Thunderbolt Flour Power U17 National Academy Playoffs,

Rupununi’s triumph was highlighted by the stellar performances of their goal scorers. Shavez Moses set the tone early with a goal in the sixth minute, providing an early advantage.

The victory was sealed in the 89th minute when Adrian Cabral found the back of the net, solidifying Rupununi’s 2-0 win.

Conversely, Essequibo FA Academy faced challenges throughout the tournament, losing all four group-stage matches.

Despite the setbacks, several standout players showcased their skills on the field.

The notable efforts of Leon Farrell, Troy Boyer, Rayon John, former Milo School football champion and MVP Roy Vamsluytman, Marten Garraway, and National U-17 midfielder Deon Chapelle were evident, displaying resilience and talent despite the team’s overall performance.
