Chanderpaul (78) and Hodge (73) give West Indies ‘A’ slight advantage

Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kavem Hodge missed out on centuries but did enough to give West Indies ‘A’ a 27-run lead on the second day of their Four-Day match in South Africa.

Chanderpaul struck a patient 78 (12x4s) from 150 balls while Hodge made 73 (9x4s) from 151 balls, which acted as the pillar of the team’s 314-9 declared from 93.2 overs in response to South Africa ‘A’ 287-9.

Akeem Jordan (40), Kevin Sinclair (39), and Zachary McCaskie (31) also got starts.

Tshepo Moreki led the way with 3-58.

South Africa ‘A’ reached stumped unscathed after three runs.
