One person is dead and several others are reportedly injured following an accident Sunday night on the #19 Village Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice.
The dead man was identified as Marvin Ishmile, 19, of Betsy Ground, East Canje, Berbice.
The News Room understands that he was a passenger in a bus that collided with piles of dirt along the side of the roadway.
As a result of the collision, the bus toppled and Ishmile was flung from the windows onto the road.
He reportedly sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
