Guyanese off-spinner Kevin Sinclair picked up his fourth five-wicket haul in First-Class cricket and compatriot Shamar Joseph bagged three wickets as West Indies A dismissed South Africa A for 274 on the opening day of the third unofficial ‘Test’ in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.
Electing to bat first, South Africa A managed to bat only 67.4 overs, with 24-year-old Sinclair claiming 5-44 off 14.4 overs and fast bowler Joseph 3-65 off 15.
Shermon Lewis picked up 2-68 off 13, as Khaya Zondo (70), Neil Brand (62) and Zubayr Hamza (30) were the leading scorers for the hosts.
West Indies A faced eight overs before the close, ending on 17-1 with Test opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul falling to Duanne Olivier for three.
Zachary McCaskie (12*) and Kirk McKenzie (2*) are the not out batters.
The three-match series is level 1-1.
