A twenty-five-year-old man died on Monday after he was chopped by his ex-girlfriend’s partner.
Dead is Ricardo John, a laborer of 42 La Belle Alliance, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
The incident occurred at around 11:30h along the Lima Sands/Richmond Access Road.
According to reports, John was at a shop imbibing when the woman’s reputed husband approached him.
An argument ensued between the two men. At the time, the suspect was armed with a cutlass. He took the cutlass and chopped John to his upper body and escaped.
John was picked up and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.
Police are currently searching for the suspect.
