GMR&SC 2024 motor-racing calendar finalised; season-opener on January 28

The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) has finalised its racing calendar for 2024, with Round One of the Dakota 100 Endurance Series getting action underway at the South Dakota Circuit on January 28.

The calendar features 10 races, with rivalry in Endurance, Circuit and Drag Racing.

Apart from the season-opener, Endurance events are also carded for July 14 and September 29.

Rounds One and Two of Drag Racing are billed for February 18 and May 19 respectively, while the International Drag Meet is slated for August 4.

Round One of the Circuit Racing Series is fixed for April 21, followed by Round Two on June 30 and the highly-anticipated international showdown on November 10 to close off the season.

Additionally, after the success of the first-ever Drag Racing event in Essequibo in 2023, the GMR&SC has earmarked October 6 for the second annual showdown at the Mainstay Airstrip.
