The Federation and the Guyana Football Referees Council have extended congratulations and best wishes to the quartet on their latest achievement.

Below is a press release from the GFF

The GFF President and its Council, as well as the Guyana Football Referees Council (GFRC), would like to extend congratulations and best wishes to the following Match Officials who were selected for the 2024 FIFA list.

Mr. Kleon Lindey, who was first appointed a FIFA Official in 2015, continues on the list for his 10th consecutive year after having another encouraging year with several CONCACAF Nations League appointments in 2023.

Mr. Shavin Greene is in his second year on the FIFA list after successful participation in the CFU Next Generation course held in July 2022. He has had a very busy start to his career on the international list by participating in multiple regional and international tournaments.

The most notable was the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup semi-final second leg, which was held in Jamaica on October 31, 2023. This shows that he has the qualities of being a Top Tier Official in the future.

Ms. Denisha Isaacs is on the FIFA list for a second time after successful participation in the CFU Next Generation course held in July 2022 and subsequent appointment to the FIFA list.

She also has had a very promising start to her career on the international list by officiating in multiple tournaments.

Mr. Colin Abel is in his second year on the FIFA list for Futsal. Although limited to just local Futsal for 2023, with the upcoming CONCACAF Futsal Championship and FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2024 he will be aspiring to officiate in those events.

A tremendous amount of appreciation for the hardworking team, the Referee Project Officer, instructors and assessors who work tirelessly and diligently behind the scenes to ensure that all Match Officials are up to the highest standards, both locally and internationally.

The GFRC is looking forward to double the number of Guyanese Match Officials on the FIFA list within the next few years.
