January 25-29 has been earmarked by the Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club for the massive cycling group ride from Guyana to Suriname.

It is understood several local riders have already signalled their confirmation for the fifth edition of the gruelling ride to the neighbouring Dutch-speaking nation.

“Cycling enthusiasts from all over are invited to join us on this incredible journey, as we traverse the beautiful landscapes of Guyana and Suriname,” the Club said in a press release.

“The group ride will provide participants with an unforgettable experience, combining the thrill of cycling with the exploration of two stunning countries.”

Starting in Guyana, riders will embark on a challenging yet rewarding route, taking them through picturesque villages, along the stunning coastline.

The journey will then continue into Suriname, where participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Guyana’s eastern neighbour.

“Throughout the five-day event, riders will be supported by experienced guides and a dedicated support team, ensuring their safety and comfort. Rest stops and refreshments will be provided along the way, allowing participants to refuel and recharge for the next leg of the journey.”

The Guyana to Suriname Cycle group ride is open to cyclists of all levels, from beginners to experienced riders.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself, meet fellow cycling enthusiasts, and create lasting memories,” the Club added.
