Golden Grove man wanted for murder

The Guyana Police Force on Monday issued a wanted bulletin for Junior Heywood called ‘Larry’ of Lot 71 Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD), who is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder to Otis Andey Haimchand.

On January 6, Haimchand, a labourer of Nabaclis, ECD, was stabbed to his upper left side chest while at Haslington New Scheme.  Anyone who has information about the wheareabouts of the said wanted persons, please contact the police on 225-6940, 225-8196, 226-7476, 225- 2317, 225-8196, 227-1149 or the nearest police station.

According to Police Headquarters, the suspect and the victim (Haimchand) had a misunderstanding over a cellphone when then led to an altercation and the wounding of Haimchand.

The man was pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
