Couple arrested following discovery of ecstasy, cocaine & ganja

Police have arrested a husband and wife in connection with the discovery of ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana at Crabwood Creek, Corentyne Berbice.

Police Headquarters reported that ranks from Regional Division #6, Special Branch and members of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted an intel-lead raid exercise earlier this week at the home of Jagdeo Ramdass.

The ranks, during a search, found a plastic bag with 81 zip-loc packets containing tablet-like substances suspected to be ecstasy. The ranks also found cocaine and marijuana.

Ramdass, along with his wife, were arrested and taken to Springlands Police Station where they were placed in custody.

“The man admitted knowledge of the marijuana but denied knowledge of the suspected cocaine or the suspected Ecstasy,” the release noted.
