The final trial match for the Guyana Harpy Eagles ahead of the upcoming Regional Four-Day Championship concluded on Friday at the Meten-Meer-Zorg ground, West Coast Demerara.

Former West Indies youth player Sachin Singh stroked a well-composed 81 for Kevlon Anderson XI to throw his hat in the ring for selection to the Harpy Eagles squad for the first round on February 7.

On Thursday, the left-hander struck eight fours and three sixes before he was bowled by left-arm spinner Antony Adams.

He and Rampertab Ramnauth added 90 for the opening stand before Ramnauth fell for 41.

Akshaya Persaud (42), Zachary Jodah (39) and Rivaldo Phillips (25) were the other principal scorers for Anderson XI, who were bowled out for 270.

Left-arm spinner Aryan Persaud led the charge for Kemol Savory XI with 4-15 from 9.1 overs, while Leon Swammy (3-34) and Junior Sinclair (2-79) were the other wicket-takers.

Savory XI then ached the chase of 41 in just 6.4 overs with the in-form Perez following up his first innings 93 with 23 not out, and Matthew Nandu ending on an unbeaten 18 to go with his 82 in the first innings.

The Guyana Harpy Eagles squad was slated to be submitted to Cricket West Indies on Friday, January 26.

The squad will travel on February 4 to St. Kitts for the first round.
