Jamel Taylor, a 32-year-old Mason of Graham Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, was on Friday freed of a felonious wounding charge after he compensated the victim with $250,000.
According to the Guyana Police Force, the man appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.
Taylor is accused of committing the act on Winston Munroe on January 15, 2023.
However, the matter was dismissed after the accused compensated the victim with a total of $250,000.
