Construction workers remanded on break and enter and larceny charge


Three construction workers on Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court charged with the offence of Break and Enter and Larceny.

Carlton Moses, a 23-year-old of Friendship Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara; Yashua Angoy, an 18-year-old of Second Street Kaneville, EBD; and Michael Vandersoop, a 36-year-old of Grove Housing Scheme, EBD, were all arrested on February 16 for breaking into the house of Vidnarine Singh.

Police Headquarters reported that they all pleaded not guilty. Bail was refused and they were remanded to prison; the case was adjourned to March 13, 2024.
