A shooting incident on Tuesday night has left an East Canje woman hospitalised.
Police have confirmed that Fay Samaroo, 54, of Sheet Anchor Public Road, East Canje, Berbice was shot while in her home at approximately 23:55 hrs.
While the circumstances surrounding the shooting has not been made clear by the authorities, the News Room understands that Samaroo is currently seeking medical attention at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
The suspect is yet to be arrested. The News Room will provide more information in a subsequent report.
