Lushawn Jevon Crawford, a resident of Haslington South, East Coast Demerara, on Monday appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with two counts of armed robberies.
The Guyana Police Force on Wednesday reported Crawford appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
The young man, who was arrested last week, is accused of being armed with a weapon on February 22, when he robbed We Zu Chen and Shantie Mohan at about 11:00 hrs at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and the Magistrate remanded him to prison. The matters were transferred to the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court and are to be heard on March 26.
