Two farmers and a driver were on Tuesday jointly charged with simple larceny and were each released on $75,000 bail.
According to the Guyana Police Force, Wazir Asgar, a 29-year-old driver; Ramdat Alfred, a 46-year-old farmer and Naresh Alfred, a 23-year-old farmer, each from Martyrs Ville, Mon Repos, ECD, appeared at the Vigilance Magistrates’ Court where Magistrate Fabayo Azore read the charge to them.
The men who were arrested by police on Sunday by a rank from the Beterverwagting Police Station, pleaded not guilty and were released on bail.
The matter was adjourned to April 15.
