The Malteenoes Sports Club, revered as one of the oldest cricket clubs in Georgetown, is set to embark on a historic three-match tour of Barbados from March 15-21. The Thomas Lands club will play two T20s and a 35-over match.
“This inaugural tour promises to not only provide an unparalleled experience for the players, but also to elevate the standing of the cricket club as it competes in foreign conditions,” the club said in a release.
Malteenoes will be led by Shaquille Williams, with Marcus Watkins the deputy.
SQUAD: Shaquille Williams (Captain), Marcus Watkins (Vice-captain), Cordel Mars, Jeremiah Scott, Delon Dalrymple, Seon Daniels, Totaram Bishun, Anton Lim, Adrian Hinds, Trevon France and Shuaquille Mosely.
Felix Walker will perform the dual role of Player/Coach, while Kefa Naughton is the Manager.
Malteenoes will play Standard (T20) on March 16 from 14:00h, Passage Road (T20) the day after from 14:00h and Cupid Cavaliers (35 overs) on March 21 from noon.
