Chinese national murdered during robbery at Eteringbang

Police in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) are investigating the murder of a Chinese national, who was killed during a robbery at Eteringbang Landing, Cuyuni River on Thursday.

The News Room was informed that the incident occurred sometime in the afternoon. The identity of the dead man is not yet known.

Preliminary information revealed that the victim reportedly operated a business in Eteringbang Landing, Cuyuni River.

His hands were reportedly bound and he was robbed by his attacker/s who then killed him.

Reports are that two men have since been taken into custody.

A Police investigation has been launched and a team of ranks were dispatched to the scene. The News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
