Guyana’s top female badminton player Priyanna Ramdhani has advanced to the Women’s quarter-finals of the Cuba International Badminton tournament 2024.
Ramdhani and Akili Haynes are representing Guyana at the tournament, which is being staged at the Ciudad Deportiva Sport City Hall, La Havana, Cuba.
The Guyanese pair is competing in the Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

Akili Haynes defeated Jose Leandro Labrada Soler 15-21, 21-19 22-20 to advance to Round of 16

Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Ginnet Cuellar Galvez 21-10, 21-12 to advance to the quarter-finals
Mixed Doubles (Round of 32)
Ramdhani/Haynes secured a Bye to the Round of 16
Women Doubles (Round of 16)
Ramdhani teamed up with Chequeda Boulet (Trinidad and Tobago) and lost in the Round of 16 to Taymara Oropesa Pupo (Cuba)/Fabiana Silva (Brazil) 21-19, 21-13.
