Sky High Dominicana cements presence in Guyana with office in Georgetown

A month after it began weekly flights between Guyana and the Dominican Republic, Sky High Dominicana opened its office in the north ward of Georgetown on David Street, Kitty.

Currently, the airline which began flying to Georgetown on February 18, 2024, operates flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Beyond Guyana, Sky High Aviation Services operates scheduled passenger and cargo services across the Caribbean, Venezuela, and the United States. The current route network includes flights to Miami, Caracas, Maracaibo, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Antigua, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Anguilla, St and now Guyana.

During the simple ribbon-cutting event on Saturday, Sky High representative, Lili Foo said the airline is committed to serving Guyana with high standards.

The sentiment was also expressed by Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Guyana, Ernesto Torres Pereyra who wished the airline all success in the Guyana market and also offered the embassy’s unyielding and unconditional support.

He observed that with extensive business exchanges between the two countries, the relationship has never been closer.

Minister of Tourism Industry and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond was happy to witness what she said is the materialization of talks and visits.

She said talks about the airline coming to Guyana started during the visit by President Dr. Irfaan Ali in 2023 and it was amazing to see that Sky High answered the call for connectivity so quickly.
