Two years jail for Charity man guilty of armed robbery

Junior Williams, a 28-year-old gold miner of Charity, Essequibo Coast, on Monday sentenced to two years jail for the armed robbery of a 64-year-old businessman of Bounty Hall, Essequibo Coast.

Police Headquarters reported that the case was heard at the Charity Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke, where the charge was read to the accused.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to two years imprisonment.
