Reigning champions Akili Haynes and Priyanna Ramdhani turned in dominant performances on the final night of the annual GUMDAC Easter Badminton tournament, organised by the Guyana Badminton Association.
Playing at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue on Saturday night, Haynes and Ramdhani combined to successfully defend their Mixed Doubles title.
Haynes also won the Men’s Doubles with Tyrese Jeffrey, while Ramdhani teamed up with Mishka Beharry to cop the Women’s Doubles.
“Their consistent success across multiple categories demonstrates their skill and versatility in badminton. “Matches like these often showcase the intense competition and skill level in badminton, providing excitement for fans and spectators alike. It’s always fascinating to see the dynamics between experience and youth play out on the court.”
