The body of a man identified only as Saray, who is reportedly a vagrant was found at 06:30 hrs on Tuesday in a trench at 10th Field, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara.
The man of East Indian descent was found lying on his left side, clad in a gray jersey and long blue jeans, partially underwater.
Emergency Medical Technicians from the Central Fire Service responded and the victim was pronounced dead by Dr. Etwaroo of the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The scene was processed by crime scene ranks who examined the body for marks of violence; none were seen.
The man’s body is currently at the Memorial Gardens mortuary awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination.
The discovery was made almost a week after the body of another male was found floating in a trench at 5th Field, Industry.
