Guyana Harpy Eagles ended day three of their sixth-round game in the West Indies Four-Day Championship against Jamaica Scorpions in the ascendancy at Sabina Park, Jamaica.

At stumps on Friday, Jamaica Scorpions were 123-2, still 296 runs away from the huge target of 419 for an outright win with one day remaining.

West Indies Test batsman Kirk McKenzie is not out on 39 alongside Brandon King on 13. Opener J. Buchanan made 39, with Kevin Sinclair and Veerasammy Permaul the wicket-takers.

Scorpions started the day 153-9 in response to Harpy Eagles’ first innings 424, and a wicket off the first ball of the day ended their innings.

With a lead of 271, Harpy Eagles went on the attack, hunting for quick runs to force a declaration. That they did at 147-4 with skipper Tevin Imlach following up his 101* in the first innings with a top score of 44, while Sinclair made 36 not out, Kevlon Anderson 25 and opener Raymond Perez 22.

Derval Green took 2-39 for Scorpions.
