Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight (CnBD), a popular local fast food chain in the Guyana, is making a bold move to cater to the growing demand for plant-based options. Recently, the company announced that it will be introducing plant-based chicken; VEGO to its menu nationwide starting April 25, 2024.

This decision comes in the wake of increasing popularity of plant-based diets in Guyana and to cater to customers with special religious beliefs. With the introduction of VEGO, Chicken ‘n’ Burger Delight hopes to offer a healthy and more sustainable alternative for its customers.

VEGO will be made from a blend of pea protein, wheat protein, and other natural ingredients to mimic the taste and texture of real chicken. This innovation has been in the works for over a number of years and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure that it meets the high standards of taste and quality that CnBD is known for.

In addition to appealing to those following a plant-based diet or special religious beliefs, VEGO may also attract customers who are looking for healthier options or who have dietary restrictions. Thanks to its ingredients, VEGO is a great source of protein and fiber, provides vitamins A and D, and minerals such as iron, calcium and zinc.

Customers will be able to enjoy VEGO in a variety of different ways. Those being: VEGO Double (plant based version of their signature TROOPER), VEGO classic burger, VEGO nuggets and VEGO sticks. CNBD is confident that the plant-based chicken will be a hit with its customers and is excited to offer these new choices on its menu.
