Two arrested for murder of taxi driver back in February

Two persons who were wanted for the murder of Eon Holder were arrested on Wednesday in Georgetown during a police operation.

The two men, a 50-year-old and a 30-year-old, both of Queen Street, South Cummingsburg, are accused of murdering Holder known as ‘Rasta man’ on February 24, 2024, at Alexander Street, Bourda.

They both remain in custody as investigations continue.

The News Room understands that the shooting unfolded at around 05:30 hrs while Holder was waiting on a customer to place goods in his trunk.

It is alleged that an argument erupted between Holder and a man over the manner in which he was parked.

The man reportedly discharged a round in a fit of rage, fatally wounding the victim.
