GUYOIL goes cashless; you can pay for fuel using your debit/credit cards

The Guyana Oil Company Limited (GUYOIL) Thursday launched its Point-of-Sales (POS) payment service, allowing customers to pay for fuel and accessories using VISA/MASTERCARD, credit or debit cards.

The service is powered by Republic Bank but it applies to customers with a credit or debit card from any local bank. GUYOIL will initially roll out the POS system at Providence, Regent Street, and Sheriff Street locations, with plans for nationwide expansion.

GUYOIL’s General Manager Molly Hassan said the initiative aims to enhance service efficiency and overall customer experience.

GUYOIL is the first in the petroleum distribution sector to implement this service at the retail level.

Hassan noted that the move underscores GUYOIL’s commitment to modernizing operations and providing greater convenience, aligning with its promise of excellence in service.
