Man, 39, dies in North West District accident 

Devon Moralis, a 39-year-old man, died on Tuesday while riding along the Ifill Access Road/ Trail at Eyelash Backdam, in the North West District of Region One (Barima- Waini).

Police Headquarters reported that Moralis lost control of the All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) he was riding along the trail to Providence Backdam. He reportedly lost control while negotiating a left bend at a fast rate.

Moralis was flung off of the vehicle, to the northern side of the road while the ATV ended up on the southern side of the road. Public-spirited persons saw the man motionless on the road and alerted the Police.

A doctor from the Matthew’s Ridge Public Hospital examined the body and pronounced Moralis dead.

The body was taken to the Port Kaituma Public Hospital’s Mortuary, awaiting a Post-Mortem Examination.
