    Four Essequibo Coast drivers fined

    Four drivers recently appeared before Magistrate Tameika Clarke at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court and Charity Magistrate’s Court, where they were charged and fined for various traffic offences.

    Otis Marks from Queenstown, Essequibo Coast was fined $57,500 after he was found guilty of the following traffic offences:

    * Failed to stop when required by Police in uniform

    * Failed to produce driver’s license

    * Failed to behave in a civil and orderly manner

    * Prohibition of tinted glass

    Denzel Stephens, a labourer of Charity Extension Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was fined $60,000 after he pleaded guilty to the following offences:
    * Unlicensed Driver
    * Uninsured Motor Vehicle
    * Uncertifed Motor Vehicle.
    Another driver, Yogesh Rabbylall of Richmond, Essequibo Coast, was charged with the offence of ‘obscured ID mark on motor vehicle’. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $50,000.

    Finally, Kelvin Hardial, a driver from Windsor Castle, Essequibo Coast, was charged with the offence of ‘failure to have ID mark on motor vehicle’. He also pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $50,000.
