The annual Malteenoes Sports Club cricket camp will return from July 15-27 at the club’s Thomas Lands, Georgetown facility. It will cater to males and females ages seven to 18.

According to a release from the club, the activities will run Monday through Friday from 09:00h to 15:00h.

Registration forms are currently available and can be accessed by visiting the club.

    The registration fee is $12,000.

Players will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sport as they interact with former players such as Leon Johnson, Steven Jacobs, and Lennox Cush, along with coaches Quasen Nedd and Rawle Merrell, among others.

Formed in 1902, MSC prides itself on facilitating young people from the lower end of the economic strata to hone their sporting talent by having a support, development, and mentorship system for some of the commonly known names in Guyanese cricket.

MSC has produced West Indian players such as Charlie Jones, Glendon Gibbs, Rex Collymore, Barrington Brown, Colin Stuart, Kenneth Wong, and female Test player Indomattie Goordial. Test players John Trim and Clayton Lambert from Berbice have also played for the club.
