A place where friends and family gather, celebrate and make lasting memories – that is the ambiance P.F Chang’s Guyana was designed to create.

With a rich culinary landscape and top-notch service, the Asian P.F Chang’s brand has opened to serve the Guyanese population.

Situated at Lot 57 High Street, Kingston Georgetown and with roots in Chinese cuisine, P.F Chang’s will offer a unique Asian experience.

The menu honours cultures and recipes from Japan, Korea, Thailand, and beyond with each item offering a unique flavor exploration, whether it’s a handcrafted cocktail or a celebratory multi-course dinner.

President Dr Irfaan Ali, Government Ministers and members of the diplomatic corps were among the esteemed guests who attended an exclusive launch on Sunday.

The launch forms part of a Guyanese-led Corum Group and JMMB partnership.

Chief Executive Officer of Corum Group, Clairmont Cummings said the opening marks a significant milestone for the team because among other things, it is the first completed project with JMMB.

“Our partnership with PFC is not merely about introducing a new restaurant concept. It is about bringing a beloved global brand to the heart of Guyana. It is a testament to how brands are increasingly viewing Guyana as a place for investment and partnership,” Cummings said.

P.F Chang’s Guyana has been in the making for 18 months and was successfully launched due to dedication and hard work despite many setbacks.

Cummings believes that the investment will bring diversity and growth to the local culinary landscape.

“The real general intent here is not just to invest in new concepts but to also create concepts that foster a sense of community. A place where friends and family can gather, celebrate, talk through issues and make lasting memories,” he said.

The first of many to come, P.F Chang is said to be the first casual dining in the country.

President Ali lauded the owners for their “bold” thinking and strategic approach, which he said is embedded in the economy and how the country is developing.

“I believe that whilst we bring international brands to Guyana, we are developing brand Guyana and Guyana carries with it a different weight, a different look and a different style in today’s economy.

“The Guyana we speak of today and the weight of the Guyana we speak of today is not the Guyana we speak of before,” President Ali said.

As the economy expands and new brands are being welcomed, President Ali urged investors to utilise the opportunity of the arrival of a global brand here, to promote local brands.

“You never kill the brand. In everything you do protect the brand and that is what we have to do to protect brand Guyana and all of us must be the marketers of brand Guyana,” President Ali noted.

The Head of State pledged government’s support towards the business, like others.

P.F Chang will be open to the public from Wednesday. Apart from dining, takeaway service and pick-up are also available.
