United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Katherine Tai, will travel to Guyana on Friday.
Tai, a Cabinet member, serves as the US president’s principal trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on trade issues. Ambassador Tai’s office said she would meet with President Irfaan Ali.
She will also participate in a roundtable with Caribbean regional stakeholders on trade.
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing negotiations with other countries.
