A serious accident occurred around 19:30 hrs Tuesday evening, involving two motorcars on the Soesdyke Linden Highway. The collision has resulted in one individual being hospitalized with a fractured backbone.

The accident involved motorcar #PAB 1807, driven by 40-year-old Seon Sagon from Yarrowkabra Village, and motorcar #PYY 6817, driven by 26-year-old Michael Major from Silver Hill. Joel Howell, a 23-year-old from Amelia’s Ward Linden, was an occupant in Major’s vehicle.

According to police reports, motorcar #PAB 1807 was traveling south along the eastern side of the highway when the driver of #PYY 6817 attempted to overtake. During this maneuver, the vehicles collided. All three individuals sustained injuries and were removed from their vehicles by emergency services.

The injured were transported to the Diamond Hospital. Major and Howell were treated and subsequently released. However, Sagon was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for further examination and was admitted around 11:40 hours on Wednesday with a fractured backbone.
