Nand Persaud rolls into construction sector with China’s FAW Trucks

The ‘Nand Persaud’ name is best known for exploits in Guyana’s agricultural sector but the company has been diversifying its offerings and now, has rolled into the booming construction sector.

At the weekend, the Nand Persaud Group revealed its new partnership with China’s FAW Trucks, a venture that enables the local company to act as the authorised dealer for these heavy-duty trucks in Guyana.

And according to Group Director, Devesh Persaud there has already been much interest in the heavy-duty trucks.

“We offered our in-house financing to everybody.

“We have done personal tailoring for these trucks to suit the conditions that the customers would be going into.

“That’s one of the reasons why we chose this company, because of their ability to adjust and change their trucks to suit our needs,” Persaud told the News Room.

Speaking at the launch of the new partnership, Persaud noted that the Nand Persaud Group hopes to also provide good service including warranties and repairs to all customers.

The new venture was launched on Saturday at the Parc Rayne Event Centre, in Georgetown.
