State-of-the-art Fit-Rex training center gears for November opening

The gym industry is evolving in Guyana, and the door to quality services is ajar in the growing industry. Fit-Rex: Fitness Training Services aims to meet Guyana’s needs and provide an elite and reliable service.

Already a well-established and trusted source of comfort and quality service, Fit-Rex is expanding to accommodate more extensive and holistic public needs. In many regards, it is “your one-stop for fitness needs.”

The new and improved facility will be located at Providence, East Bank Demerara, and is on course for a grand opening in November 2024.

There will be three floors for complete fitness services: a protein and wellness bar, a massage center, numerous multifunctional equipment, a steam shower, deep tissue massage, and physiotherapy.

More so, there will be options for personalized training, group training, or corporate training, and plans are in the pipeline for a cross-fit /yoga workout area on the rooftop balcony.

The brainchild behind it all is Joshua Singh, who explained that this has been a lifelong dream that is now coming to fruition.

“This was all a dream in 2012, but now it’s becoming a reality. To see this build and finish, along with great support from all our clients throughout the years, is overwhelming. It’s a proud feeling that I get to help more people get healthier and fitter,” Singh related to News Room Sport.

Noting, “This is just the beginning,” he indicated, “We saw the potential in the fitness industry, and Guyana is getting more into fitness and wellness as it is important for longer life.”

With over 260 pieces of training equipment, both outdoor and indoor, this new establishment will provide more services catering to all fitness levels—beginners, bodybuilders, athletes, or people who want to improve their health and fitness.

“This is more than just a gym. For 12 years in Guyana, we have always aimed to deliver diversity and build a community of fitness. We aim to push-start beginners, improve athletes’ training with all the equipment needed, enhance bodybuilders, and make everyone feel comfortable and motivated in our new environment,” Singh elaborated.
