Guyana will host the ENet Caribbean Area Squash Association (CASA) Senior Championships from August 18 to 24 at the Georgetown Club and the National Racquet Centre.

The event will see the nation’s top players compete against rivals from Barbados, Jamaica, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Local stars Alex Arjoon and Shomari Wiltshire are leading the charge for Guyana, aiming to secure a fourth consecutive over title. The duo is confident in their team’s depth and ability to dominate the competition.

With squash set to make its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games, the Caribbean Championships take on added significance. The region’s top players will be looking to make a strong statement as they begin their journey towards potential Olympic qualification.

CASA President Ramon Chan-A-Sue anticipates a fierce battle for the title in both the individual and team segments.

More so, Devon London, Head of Business at ENet, the lead sponsor for the Guyana Squash Association, wished the athletes well in their endeavours and pledged commitment should members make the cut for squash’s long-awaited debut at the Olympics.
