In the Men’s Open category, Guyanese Alex Arjoon lost his semi-final match against number one seed Khamal Cumberbatch of Barbados.

Cumberbatch won 11-8, 11-8, 11-6 and will face Julian Jervis of the Cayman Islands in the final from 19:15h.

Jervis drew a bye to the final after his opponent Cameron Stafford was injured. Stafford’s injury has assured Arjoon of a bronze medal as he (Stafford) has been ruled out of the third place playoff.
