Olympian Allicock gives back to young boxers via MVP Sports and Smalta
Guyanese Olympian Keevin Allicock, via MVP Sports and Smalta, has given back to the sport of boxing by rewarding top performers of the recently concluded Winfield Brathwaite Caribbean School Boys and Girls Boxing Championship.
Allicock, who is a Brand Ambassador of MVP Sports and Smalta, presented incentives and trophies to the boxers at the conclusion of the seventh annual event at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Rewarded for being best boxer in their respective categories were Travis Inverary and Ryan Rogers of Guyana, Neraj Mahadeosingh of Trinidad, Donnie Sadhoe of Suriname and Jaquan Grant of Barbados.
Female boxer Reyah John of Trinidad and Tobago was also given a prize, compliments of HSS Customs Brokerage and Shipping.
“As a boxer myself, I will always be here to support the development of boxing. It was very easy for me to have the conversations with the companies I represent, and without hesitation, they were both willing to jump on board,” Allicock said.
“This is the second time the companies have decided to make these pledges, and I am certain they will continue to do so. Thank you to my sponsors, Smalta and MVP Sports, for always believing in my endeavours and supporting not just me, but local boxing too.”
MVP Sports, located at Giftland Mall, specialises in sportswear with Nike, Under Armour and Skechers among the leading brands.
Smalta is a yummy, nutrient-filled snack option, rich in B Vitamins and Minerals.
