Nicolas Williams, an 18-year-old from Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, was granted $300,000 bail after being charged with the Offence of Rape.
Williams appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke on Tuesday.
Bail was objected to by the Prosecutor but was granted by the court in the sum of $300,000, with the condition that the accused does not interfere with the victim, a child, and her family.
The case was adjourned to September 26, 2024 for disclosure of statements.
Williams is accused of raping a female student between September 1, 2023 and September 30, 2023 at Onderneeming Sand Pit.
