Coconiah Jupiter was Sunday nabbed with 4.2 grammes of marijuana but he told Police that the narcotics were being used as medication.
Police Headquarters reported that the man was driving a black Toyota Fielder Wagon (#PAH 4429) at about 17:17 hrs. Several ranks, including Regional Commander Krishna Ramana stopped him.
The Commander reportedly requested to search the vehicle. With Jupiter’s consent, the search was carried out and two Ziploc bags containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis were found in the man’s pants pocket. Two ‘joints’ were also found.
Jupiter admitted that the marijuana found for was his private use and was used as medication.
He was later arrested and taken to the Matthew’s Ridge Police Station. The suspected marijuana was weighed and amounted to 4.2 grammes.
Meanwhile, Police said the suspect is in custody assisting with the investigation.
