Demerara Bank Limited celebrated the conclusion of its “Start Your Journey With Demerara Bank Home Loan Promotion” on Friday at its Diamond branch.
The highlight of the event was the announcement of the grand prize winner, Subrina Angela Persaud Hassan, who will have her first six months’ loan instalments covered by the bank.
In addition to the grand prize, four individuals won home furnishing prizes: Ariel Khan, Opa Rebecca Harriss, Harold Fraser, and Hemlata Umrow.
Furthermore, five others—Bhalram Bhimraj, Joshua De Agrella, Ravindra Bhagwandin, Mukesh Bhikam, and Rajpaul Singh—will have the first 100,000 spent on their credit cards paid off by Demerara Bank.
Branch Manager (ag) Natalie Singh noted that while the promotion has officially ended, the bank continues to offer same-day approvals for those seeking home loans.
Launched on January 27, 2024, the promotion coincided with the International Building Expo 2024, concluding on its final day.
It aimed to provide a variety of home loan options tailored to different customer needs, including loans for low-income housing units, young professional housing units, property purchases, construction, and renovations.
The bank’s innovative approach at the Building Expo, where it processed home loan applications on-site, marked a significant advancement in customer service. This initiative allowed for same-day approvals, eliminating the lengthy waiting periods traditionally associated with loan processing.
