One day after two suspects surrendered, the Guyana Police Force is seeking to locate a sixth suspect as the probe into the abduction of Joshua David widens.
In a wanted bulletin issued on Tuesday, Police Headquarters said Damion Barlow, whose last known address is Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, is wanted for questioning in relation to the crime.
Barlow is the sixth suspect listed by the Police in the crime.
Two others, Alpha Poole and Osafo Peters surrendered to the Police on Monday.
The other wanted men Aaron Alleyne called Cats, Wayne Barker and Dwayne Griffith are still at large.
David was abducted on September 26, 2024 outside a popular restaurant on Main Street, Georgetown, where he went to purchase food. An individual who was parked close by captured the incident on camera.
In the video, David was seen trying to fight off a group of about five men as they try to push him across Main Street.
Over the past weekend, Police began their search for David in Buxton backlands. The search was assisted by sniffer dogs, drones and a recently acquired modern forensic vehicle.
However, the search yielded no result and it resumed on Tuesday morning with the Police moving to an area at the Annandale backlands.
The ranks are acting on information that David’s body was reportedly dumped there. That search is still ongoing.
Police Headquarters have since indicated that all leads are being pursued as the search continues.
