Police have confirmed that recent reports of a kidnapping attempt at Amelia’s Ward Primary School are false, following an investigation by the Police Administration of Regional Division #10.

The confusion arose after a 45-year-old teacher from the school filed an initial report on Wednesday. She claimed that several students told her separately about a man in a silver-grey Premio motorcar who was offering money to buy snacks and trying to coax them into his vehicle.

The report led to a swift response from law enforcement, who contacted the owner of the vehicle, whose identity has been withheld.

The man informed police that he had been at the school the previous day only to pick up his two children.

Further investigation was conducted on Thursday. Police, along with the school’s head teacher, staff, students, and the teacher who made the initial report, were all interviewed.

Despite the extensive inquiry, no evidence of any attempted kidnapping or suspicious activity involving the individual or his vehicle was found.

The headteacher and other staff members confirmed that no students, teachers, or parents had reported any such incident, and there was no indication of a kidnapping attempt.

Additionally, no teacher admitted to sending any voice notes or messages suggesting a kidnapping.

Police are urging the public to refrain from spreading unverified information that can cause unnecessary panic.
