The Brava Guyana Open 2024 concluded successfully, with defending champion Avinash Persaud securing his 13th title and Christine Sukhram claiming the women’s championship.

The tournament attracted a record number of 104 participants from across the Caribbean and North America.

The event was hailed as a major success, showcasing the growing popularity of golf in Guyana.

Lusignan Gulf Club President Anasha Ally expressed gratitude to all involved, including the players, sponsors, and staff. She highlighted the international participation and the club’s commitment to fostering a vibrant golfing community.

In a significant development, the Barbados Golf Association and the Trinidad Golf Association extended invitations to top Guyanese golfers to participate in their respective national opens, fostering regional cooperation and talent exchange.
