Forty-four-year-old Norman Henry of Good Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD), recently endured a life-changing accident in which the rider of a motorcycle crashed into him as he was walking along the road.
Last October 19, he was heading home after leaving Mon Repos, ECD when the motorcyclist collided with him, subsequently causing him to lose his right leg.
The father of six was picked up by the ambulance and rushed to the Georgetown hospital where he was examined by a doctor and taken to do immediate surgery.
“My father lie down crying every day,” one of his daughters, Savita Chandridat told News Room lately.
The matter was settled between the parties at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Henry is, however, counting his losses, worried about his inability to work at the moment.
