Police find ganja, cocaine in Mahdia arcade 

Police Officers on Monday found 910 grammes of cannabis and 30 grammes of cocaine during a raid exercise at the Mahdia Arcade, Region Eight.

In a statement, Police Headquarters said several persons were searched for illegal firearms, ammunition, and narcotics during the raid exercise.

During the search, the ranks found three black plastic bags with suspected cannabis and another transparent bag with suspected cocaine. The cannabis and cocaine were photographed and taken to the station, weighed, and amounted to 910 grammes (cannabis) and 30 grammes of cocaine.

No one was arrested.

Before that, on Saturday, Police ranks conducted a cordon and search at the same Mahdia Arcade location, where they found two black plastic bags with suspected cannabis under separate water tanks.

The bags contained suspected cannabis which, when weighed, amounted to 54 grammes and 22 grammes, respectively (76 grams in total).
